The rules for accounts, creations, API access and credit purchases on Renderly.
Last updated:
Eligibility and agreement
These terms apply when you use the Renderly website, workspace or API. You must be at least 18, have reached the legal age of majority where you live and be able to enter into a binding agreement. If you act for an organization, you must be authorized to accept these terms for it.
Use of Renderly must follow these terms, the Acceptable use policy, the applicable model conditions and applicable law. The Privacy policy explains how personal information is handled.
Provide accurate account information and protect your sign-in credentials and API keys. Use keys only within their assigned permissions, revoke keys that are no longer needed and notify us through the available contact options if you suspect unauthorized access.
You are responsible for requests you authorize and for applications or people to whom you give access. API applications must apply these rules to their own end users. Do not embed secret API keys in public client code, bypass access controls or use another person’s account without permission.
Models, features and availability
The catalogue is for discovering models and their capabilities. Availability to run a model is shown separately in the workspace. A listed model, preview image or capability description is not a promise that every feature or configuration is currently enabled.
Use the enabled controls and current documentation for a request. Illustrative artwork is not a measured benchmark or a guarantee of a particular output. Models, supported settings and service capacity may change, and requests can be delayed or rejected for technical or policy reasons.
Service levels, dedicated capacity, custom data arrangements and other business commitments apply only if expressly agreed.
Review the price, settings and payment information presented before you accept a quote or purchase credits. New quotes may have different prices and have expiry times. An accepted job uses its recorded quote and settings; a displayed estimate alone does not submit a job.
Credit purchases are available only when checkout is enabled. The checkout and purchase record identify the amount, currency, applicable charges and credit allocation. Spendable credits are added after a real payment is verified. Test transactions do not make a real charge or create spendable credits.
Job reservations, charges, releases and technical credit returns appear in account records. When a job is recorded as refunded because a valid result could not be delivered, its applicable reserved charge is returned to the account. Review the job and ledger for the actual outcome.
A technical credit return is different from a refund of a credit purchase to its payment method. Purchase refunds, cancellation rights and disputed payments are governed by the purchase conditions disclosed to you and applicable law. Contact us using the available billing options if you believe a charge or credit record is incorrect.
Credits are for use in Renderly and do not represent an investment or a transferable currency. Do not assume that an unused balance can be transferred or redeemed unless the purchase conditions or applicable law provide that right.
You retain the rights you already have in your inputs. You must have the necessary permissions to upload and process the material, including consent for a person’s likeness or voice where required and rights in any copyrighted assets.
You authorize the processing, copying, storage and transmission needed to perform your requested service, deliver results, resolve problems, address abuse and meet legal obligations. This service permission does not give Renderly ownership of your inputs.
Your ability to use or commercialize a result depends on the applicable model conditions, the rights in your inputs and the law where you use the result. Outputs may resemble other outputs, include errors or lack copyright protection. Renderly does not guarantee exclusivity, ownership of every element or clearance of third-party rights.
Review results before publishing or using them, particularly claims about real people or material used for consequential decisions. Follow applicable disclosure rules for synthetic media and do not misrepresent generated media as an authentic recording.
Attempts to evade safeguards, misuse payments, compromise accounts or create prohibited content may result in refused requests, access restrictions or account suspension. Serious or repeated violations can lead to termination, subject to applicable law.
When circumstances allow, relevant information about an account action and a way to request review should be provided. Immediate action may be necessary to address legal duties, child exploitation, active abuse or a security threat. Remaining payments and balances are handled according to the applicable purchase conditions and mandatory legal rights.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, the service is supplied as available. AI output, uninterrupted access, completion speed and suitability for a particular purpose cannot be guaranteed. You remain responsible for evaluating results and keeping copies of material you need.
To the extent permitted by applicable law, Renderly is not liable for indirect or consequential loss arising from use of the service. These terms do not exclude liability or remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded, including applicable consumer, privacy and payment rights. They do not excuse fraud or intentional misconduct.
If an issue arises, use the available contact options with the relevant account, job or transaction information so it can be identified. Nothing here requires you to give up a mandatory right to contact a regulator, seek a lawful remedy or use a court with jurisdiction.
The date above identifies this version. Updated terms apply as permitted by law and any notice requirements. Material changes that require additional agreement or notice must follow those requirements. A change does not retroactively alter the recorded price of an accepted job.
